John Shawe of Shawe Steam Services built this coal fired SR&RL; #24 based on the Roundhouse model. The chassis is all that is left untouched, and even that is modified to accomodate an axle pump. The photo shows some of the modifications to the backhead. A locomotive type boiler, blower, water glass, pressure gauge, tender water tank, water pump, return valve, blowdown valve, and lubricator finish this locomotive off. The fire can be seen glowing orange under the firebox.
