This locomotive started out as a Roundhouse Billy and went through several transformations before this photo was taken. The cab and tender are left over from a Maxwell Hemmens Porter, the boiler was painted primer gray and looked just right to my eye and was left that way. Lighted headlamp (and taillamp), whistle, and "Americanizing" details were added. This locomotive is great for switching because I've made the controls very accessible, and the whistle lever is right there when you need it.
