Hero incorporates double acting cylinders driven by piston valves between the frames. A choice of slip-eccentric or Hackworth type valve gear is available, the latter operated by a reversing lever in the cab. Lubricator, regulator, sight glass, pressure gauge and filling system are standard. For 32mm gauge only.
