This is Bob Brown's Dylan, which hadn't seen operation for more than ten years. We gave it a WD40 bath, lubed all the moving parts, and prepared for steam. True to what you'd expect from Roundhouse the locomotive put in a flawless performance. This locomotive is from a very early production run as evidenced by slip eccentric gear that is very different from the later versions. Workmanship on the connecting rods and cranks also showed evidence that they were not mass produced as the parts are now. This is a very attractive locomotive with brown paint and yellow lining.
