TOPIC: Howdy from Galveston Bay

Howdy from Galveston Bay 11 months ago #196

While I have been reading Steam in the Garden for several years, I've never accessed the forums before. I am retired and have a nice little machine shop. I am designing a Byer's locomotive in 1:20.3 scale and building a Cracker scaled up to Gauge 1. I need a source for small tubing parts. Sulfur Springs used to have that sort of thing, but they are at least in transition. Any leads would be appreciated.

Hi Charlie:

Welcome aboard.

I'll ask around about a suitable supplier and get back to you.

Charlie,
Try K and S Brass or Micro Mark. You can find both on google.

Thanks for the replies. I finally chased a source down. It is Clippard Instrument Laboratory, www.clippard.com

They manufacture miniature pneumatic equipment and offer a complete range of threaded compression fittings in 1/16 NPT and larger sizes. Some are threaded to 3-56.

Their catalog is huge, almost 400 pages, takes a while to download.

Again thanks for the help.

Let's all consider Sulphur Springs a dead issue from this time forward. They are no longer doing business!

Compression fittings?

Try this for regular steam fittings. www.steamfittings.com/asp/index.asp
