People from all over the Southwest came out for the 20-year anniversary event at Houston Area Live Steamers — HALS — Nov. 10-Nov. 13 at Zube Park in Hockley, Texas. The event was advertised nationally and while more than 150 registrants attended, many family members were there as well but didn’t register, so actual attendance was even higher. People bring their locomotives and trains in trailers, unload them on the hydraulic lift and park them on one of many available sidings.

The 64-page book provides modelers with photos, plans and diagrams focusing on running garden railroads on either 32mm (1¼-inches) or 45mm (1¾-inches) track.

Ford’s system has a small light that changes from green to red when the water-level in a boiler drops to the point of danger. The Ford system is easy to install, especially for Accucraft locomotives.
